What a Blast!!
A few months back Jim & I were at a 'Centennial of Flight' dinner/auction at the base and at the end of it all Jim announced that he had bought a flight for two, in a float plane, over the Comox Glacier for my sister Pat and myself for her birthday. 
For any on you who know my sister she is absolutely amazing and I adore her AND this is something she has wanted to do her entire life. Today we did it and it was truly amazing. I had been over the glacier before in a Buffalo with Randy & Pearl but to see Pat so excited made my day or year or more. And the best part was that there was such a low tide (a minus tide actually)
that we couldn't take off from the river so because of that, and the fact that we were his last flight that day, he landed up in the mountains on Osh(something) lake and gave us about a 1/2 hour to wander about. So it ended up our one flight was 2 hours!! Can't beat that especially when Jim got it for less than the price for one person. Gotta like that! So here are a few shots but they aren't great because the window was really scratched. I have a few others with my slr but it was just easier to use my G10.
