HEEEEERE'S BRENNA

First night. You honestly couldn't find a better dog than Will.
" I love my new home!"
Love at first sight
I have no idea what I'm looking at.

What a beauty.

Here's our newest addition and she is a beauty.
Unfortunately she has kennel cough or at least I hope that's all it is but she is pretty damn cute and getting crazier every day and I'm sure she's grown an inch in the last 4 days.
She arrived last Friday evening on a WestJet flight from Winnipeg.
Nine weeks old and scared to death. She's probably like me cause every time I fly anywhere I get a cold. She is seriously just so cute. Pees everywhere but we're working on it.
I just want her to stop coughing as it's really sad to watch. The breeder was just sick about it and offered to pay for the vet bills or take her back (like that's going to happen) but we will just keep our fingers crossed and hope she's not a lemon because we already love her so much.Morning with the neighbors.Stella putting on her, "I'm actually a wolf , face."" I'm just so happy."Little Miss Brenna -10 weeks old

DARCEE'S NEW GOAT, CINNAMON

"Okay Bucky, what the hell is that? And what are those pointy things on it's head?!!"
"Oh My God!!! It climbs!!!"
"I love you Cinnamon and please don't poke my eyes out."
"Crap your goats are huge!!!"
This is the lady who gave Darcee the goat. She was crying, the goat was crying, Darcee & I were crying...the poor little thing is 4 1/2 years old and never been away from her mother or this lady but the mom is sick and is being put down and she wanted Cinnamon to be with other goats.
Cinnamon ran up the field crying it's heart out chasing her car when she left.
Just not a happy moment. This just proves that we will always be buying meat not raising it.

Labour Day Weekend 2008

"Hi, I'm Sullivan and I just wanted to tell all of you about the weekend we just spent at Nana & Grandpa's, personally I think they are all nuts!! My bunny, on the other hand, is wonderful!"

"This is me with my Grandpa Jim, who would never hold me but Nana plunked me on his lap.
So far so good..."
"That's my dad & Grandpa John playing bocci. Looks a little serious but Mya was
there to keep them in line." "Even Kyle got to play but I am just too little."" Gosh I'm cute.""Then the food began with Grandpa at the Q.""Kyle loves corn."
"I love Stella's dog 'spa'!"
"We had breakfast with the neighbors and boy can Uncle Chris cook!
Uncle Kyle & Uncle Danny would have loved it!!!
My Nana wished that all her kids were here. Uncle Danny & Aunty Jenny. Aunty Heather and Aunty Lindsay & Uncle Kyle & Luke. She says maybe next year we can all get together and meet my two new cousins.""I'm not quite sure what Mommy is doing to Daddy but it looked like fun.""Aunty Darcee thought it would be funny if everyone showed up wearing the same shorts to see what Grandpa Jim would say, he never noticed...I find that rather scary.""It was such a fun weekend even the pups were worn out.""So Mommy read me a book and I went to sleep."

RIPRAP BABY...IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RIPRAP

So I think I left off last time talking about the 'riprap' (I'm sure a man gave it that name). Well, I don't know if you remember but if you go back on the blog to....I think last November, maybe January...hmmm...there are pictures of Chris and Darcee's place after a big storm and there might even be one of this place but regardless, it was a hell of a storm on a really high tide and it wasn't pretty. So after living at the beach on Beach we decided to do what we did there (only for a much bigger buck...we are soooo broke, seems it cost quite a 'tad' more than we were quoted) and have rocks brought in to beef up the yard so we don't loose any more of it. Anyway they did a beautiful job and here are a few pictures. I really thought it would be much more of a mess, only thing now is some raking and a lot of grass seed...Seriously! The whole house shook when they dropped these rocks and I don't even know how many trips they made...well, apparently, a few thousand dollars more than expected...but I digress...The fellow (John) running this machine could have picked up a toothpick with it, amazing!!!
Luke would have loved this so much!!!We had these 3 rocks placed here and then Jim got 3 solar spot lights to shine on them at night and they look so cool! They actually look like icebergs.
And final inspection. It really does look great from the yard, rather awful from the beach but once a storm comes in that will change. At this point we are really happy but we haven't really seen what our Mother Nature has in store for us out here ...we'll keep you posted
