The house, this house, is in such a mess. Boxes everywhere and we're just starting.
We've got Heather and Paula coming up to board for Mt Washington's last weekend this season and then we are heading down to Victoria next weekend for meetings and Jim's next eye surgery and then we're packing up everything we don't need. Speaking of eye surgery I just can't get used to him without glasses. He looks great and is loving it.
I've been digging up and dividing as many plants as I can. Have even got a willow started off of Jamie's tree but I'm getting worried that they won't be doing well by the time we get out there in the middle of May. Should be interesting, we move in on the 16th and I have to get 40 plants in the ground before we leave for Ottawa and Quebec City on the 30th...fuuunnn! You'd think the people would let us take the plants out there but they won't let us move a thing in until we "SHOW THEM THE MONEY". Nice couple...
So I decided this morning that I had to finish a few projects that I had started. One was to repair this cute little garden thingy that Pam Smith's mom Fay made me a million years ago. Fay is probably the most talented female I have ever met. She can do anything. I remember one day Jamie came home and said, "Pam's mom is busy putting in new carpeting." Fay was actually laying it and kicking it in...such a cool lady. The next was to repaint this wonderful fairy that I have had in the garden for years. She is still a little worse for wear but came out pretty good. And the other was to finish the crib quilt that I started before Easter and hadn't gotten back to. Now that one was interesting. I used to sew everything! All my clothes, tons of my kids clothes, stuffed animals, Christmas stuff, drapes...and then I went back to work, my life changed and the next thing you know I hadn't sewn in almost 20 years! You would think it would be like riding a bike but it took me a few minutes to remember how to load the bobbin. But I did it, made a ton of mistakes but just love it.
Now we're in April, little Watzit is due on the 27th and Jamie and Johnny are great. Linds and baby are doing well. Luke is the cutest little boy ever and Dann is coming home in June! Life is good.
