There has been so many good times in this house. Christmas', birthday parties, graduations and just a great place to be. Jamie and Johnny's wedding was by far the best but life is full of changes.
The good news is we will both be so happy to get away from the cul de sac, it is getting horrible! We used to get maybe 3 cars a day, last Saturday morning there must have been 30. That doesn't sound like much to most people but when you aren't used to it, it drives you nuts. It would be fine if it was just nice people out for a drive but it's usually a bunch of idiots. As I type this there are two very high young men out on the beach with someones golf clubs, hitting rocks, TOWARDS THE HOUSE! And yesterday there were two people in a truck and the woman was so out of it that she was just rocking and hitting her head into her hands, nice...the guy was just sitting in a cloud of BC Bud listening to tunes. I think a lot of it is that the valley has grown so much and people are just now finding out about the beach access here and it is just getting really busy.
So anyway, this is going to be our new tractor , pretty close anyway. We were going John Deere but have heard good things about Kubota and the price is right. Isn't it cute!!!!?

We will still need to get a weed whacker and few of these little fellows but we're on our way!!!
They are just so darn cute!!!

They are just so darn cute!!!
And then there will be the chickens. Now I thought this would be a really good idea. You know, fresh eggs, about 6 birds and, apparently, everybody and their dog wants to buy eggs from us, but, and don't laugh, I haven't actually come clean about the fact that I am terrified of chickens...
it's a long story...

I'm so glad you guys are going to get to live your farming dream. I wish you'd had goats when we were kids! I can't wait to play with them and I hope we get to help you pick them out. I can't believe how crazy busy May will be. With you moving, my summer work all starting up, I've got Guide Camp and possibly Jeff's graduation in Winnipeg and then well there is that "baby" that's gonna be born. Busy month, busy month! Love you guys lots and hope I'll see lots of you in the coming months. Good luck with all the packing!
You are seriously going to be Luke's idol. Can you get a bucket attachment for your tractor too? He really loves anything that can go "dump dump" with dirt or rocks. Wow, I can't wait till we come visit you gyus. Forget grandparents to babysit him, we'll just sit him outside with the tractor all day, we'll never see him again!
I know where your fear of chickens stems from. And it's ok Mom. That chicken had it out for Grandpa since day one, and perhaps it really was his time to go.
