GREEN ACRES IS THE PLACE FOR US...

We're starting to get excited!! We went and looked at stuff for the new place today. Things like generators, fireplaces, tractors...We must seriously look and sound like such a couple of city slickers, it just cracks me up! I'm standing looking at this little tractor and all I can think about is how cute it would look with flowers painted on the side (now you know where Jamie gets it). Our questions are like, "Does it come with a drink holder?", rather than, "The HP is only 18, would we be better off to get the 24?" And then comments like," Oooh, look the seat swivelllls!" And as for the generator the poor fellow might as well have been talking to Will. Too funny.
You kids are too young to know the tv show Green Acres but it is truly Jim and I. We're having so much fun. Mind you 2 months today we will be moving and hopefully we are still speaking to each other! It will be stressful and sad and exciting and really tiring!
There has been so many good times in this house. Christmas', birthday parties, graduations and just a great place to be. Jamie and Johnny's wedding was by far the best but life is full of changes.
The good news is we will both be so happy to get away from the cul de sac, it is getting horrible! We used to get maybe 3 cars a day, last Saturday morning there must have been 30. That doesn't sound like much to most people but when you aren't used to it, it drives you nuts. It would be fine if it was just nice people out for a drive but it's usually a bunch of idiots. As I type this there are two very high young men out on the beach with someones golf clubs, hitting rocks, TOWARDS THE HOUSE! And yesterday there were two people in a truck and the woman was so out of it that she was just rocking and hitting her head into her hands, nice...the guy was just sitting in a cloud of BC Bud listening to tunes. I think a lot of it is that the valley has grown so much and people are just now finding out about the beach access here and it is just getting really busy.

So anyway, this is going to be our new tractor , pretty close anyway. We were going John Deere but have heard good things about Kubota and the price is right. Isn't it cute!!!!?

We will still need to get a weed whacker and few of these little fellows but we're on our way!!!

They are just so darn cute!!!

And then there will be the chickens. Now I thought this would be a really good idea. You know, fresh eggs, about 6 birds and, apparently, everybody and their dog wants to buy eggs from us, but, and don't laugh, I haven't actually come clean about the fact that I am terrified of chickens...
