My God Things Can Change Quickly

So we went from, "Damn the house didn't sell!", to "Oh my God the house sold, what were we thinking!" But I guess everything happens for a reason and what's life without a little excitement and sheer terror. We are now a day away from knowing if we just got ourselves into debt for 5 acres of waterfront, so seriously, "OH MY GOD!!!" If the deal does go through we will take possession at 5 pm on May 16th. Let's hope little Watzit doesn't decide to hang around on the inside for 2 extra weeks or Darcee will have to move everything by herself!

We are also two days away from heading away for three weeks which wouldn't be happening if all this had happened a month ago but it's good because Jim really needs a break. He will be such a happy camper once he's not mayor any more. As for me I'm just hoping the gale and storm force winds that we've been having disappear before we get on a plane. It's funny the more I fly the more I get nervous and never used to be the least bit nervous.
Other than that, Tanja left yesterday for a new family and we thoroughly enjoyed having her here. A nice kid and no trouble. I think she was probably bored stupid with us but what the heck she had a roof over her head for 6 weeks. Do you know she never walked out in the back yard even once and the only day she came out on the beach I asked her to walk the dog with me. Very odd. The other weird thing was we told her she could phone home any time she wanted as we have a great overseas plan and she never called once! Strange...
Old Cally is still hanging in. His head is tilted to the right and he can't hear or see much but he still loves to eat and he still loves to walk, you just have to guide him a lot and lift him over logs. I hate to leave him but hopefully he will still be alive and kicking when we get back. The little guy just isn't ready to tip over yet. Actually that is a really poor choice of words as tips over a lot...
Anyway, next post will be post Mexico!!! That's it for now! Adios
